How it works
What to expect
Getting started
Complete a Virtual Longevity Assessment before programme design begins. Set up the shared training journal, confirm equipment access, and agree the check-in cadence in the kickoff call. Block 30 minutes weekly for honest session logging — programme decisions depend on the data quality.
During your sessions
After your sessions
Phase reviews happen at scheduled intervals via video call. You receive the next phase brief in writing immediately afterwards. Mid-block adjustments happen when warranted by data — the rule is decisions are made, not reactions.

FAQ
Common
questions
How is this different from app-based online coaching?
App-based coaching is typically high-volume and low-decision — a programme template, daily form check-ins, and constant chat. This is the opposite: low-volume of communication, high quality of decisions. You get a programme that respects your context and a coach who only contacts you when there is something useful to say.
How often do we communicate?
Structured check-ins are typically weekly or fortnightly via written feedback (sometimes a short voice note from Matt). Phase reviews are scheduled video calls every 4 to 8 weeks. You can flag genuine issues — injury, severe stress event, equipment change — at any time. Daily chat is not part of the offering by design.
What equipment do I need?
A standard commercial gym is more than enough. The programme is written around what you actually have access to — hotel gym, corporate facility, or home setup. The aim is to build a programme you can execute, not one that assumes equipment you do not have.
How do I log sessions and feedback?
Sessions are logged through a simple shared training journal — typically a Google Sheet or training app, not a bespoke platform. Logging takes a couple of minutes per session: sets, reps, load, RPE, and any notes worth surfacing. The data informs the next phase review.
Can I switch between online and in-person?
Yes — many clients do. A common pattern is online coaching during travel-heavy quarters and in-person 1-2-1 when London-based. Phase data carries between formats. Some clients also pair a Virtual Longevity Assessment with a one-off in-person reassessment every 12 months.
Is online coaching less effective than 1-2-1?
For clients who can self-execute, no. For clients who need real-time technique cues on every set, yes — start with 1-2-1. The single most important factor is whether your sessions get done with intent. If a programme + scheduled review is enough for you to execute consistently, online coaching delivers the same long-term result.
